My Journey of Healing in Life after Trauma, Part 1: A post WWII military child’s resilience living in a toxic family circumstance torn apart by war… growing up in a toxic home…(Kindle edition)
The book series is a compilation of short stories and posts beginning in April 2011 capturing the breathtaking reality of growing up with a father who spent all of WWII in combat and additional deployment in the Korean War. The content served as the foundation for my non-fiction book, Reconciliation: A Son’s Story, published in November 2011 by Signalman Publishing LLC. Keeping a journal while writing my story released many decades of denial and pain connected with emotional neglect and child abuse. It also serves as a critical part of my journey of healing and in making a difference for others through my blog http://www.survivethriveptsd.com. Through this engaging writing experience, I have achieved peace of mind and now enjoy a healthy, happy, and productive quality of life never before realized completely with friends, family, and loved ones… Loving yourself and others comes from a profound sense of empathy, forgiveness, and healing in life after trauma…
